Another monster-sized Retronauts recording weekend is on its way, and as always, we want to include your feedback in as many of the episodes we record as possible.
First, continuing with our Final Fantasy deep-dive series, we're going to step away from the numbered sequels to tackle the greatest Final Fantasy spinoff of all time: 1998's Final Fantasy Tactics. An addictive hybrid of Final Fantasy V and Tactics Ogre, Tactics wasn't at all the follow-up that freshly minted Final Fantasy VII devotees expected as the next chapter of the series. Those who took the time to come to terms with its complexity and survived that first battle with the black mages, however, found a deep and engrossing game. Only to get stuck at Riovanes Castle with no alternate save. Whomp whomp.
You can leave a comment here in the article or drop me a line at jparish [at] retronauts.com — just be sure to do so no later than Friday, March 22. Please try and keep your message under 200 words, if you can... it's more likely to end up being read on-air if it doesn't take too much time for us to read aloud.
Thanks, and stay tuned for more mailbag opportunities!
