We've said this before, but video games as a medium simply aren't very old. Millions of Americans spent their entire childhoods (and even young adulthoods) before Pong took the nation by storm. Even the NES, arguably the flashpoint for the global console industry, has yet to reach its 40th anniversary.
With that timeline in mind, today host Kevin Bunch and guests Benj Edwards & Nate Lockhart look back at the relatively-ancient world of arcade games in the 1970s. Few of these machines remain in playable condition today—in person or even via emulation—effectively erasing them from our collective memories. We don't take kindly to history disappearing on this podcast!
Description: Kevin Bunch, Benj Edwards, and Nate Lockhart enter the era of TTL circuits and early microprocessors as they celebrate the world of 1970s arcade games.
