Kickstarter Kompilation: May 2025 edition

We're halfway to Halloween and it feels like it

Gonna keep it real readers: I've been sick all week. Here's the stuff I found in-between blowing my nose and spacing out on the couch.
As always, we have no insider information or financial interest in any of these projects, and no one at Retronauts has been compensated for including anything on this page. To the best of my ability I have not (and never will) endorse any campaign built around AI assets. Also, in light of the ongoing pandemic, we recommend only backing crowdfunding campaigns if you feel comfortable with your own security and stability.

Shut the windows and don't look outside (ends May 6 estimated reward date Nov 2025)
Dunno what this says about me but I've found myself increasingly interested in "haunted" media and so-called "analog horror" that looks old even when it isn't. This upcoming spooky project looks vaguely PS1-ish and you can try the demo on Steam and itch.io

FEARZINE Issue #3 (ends May 14 estimated reward date May 2025!)
As I said above, I'm into horror right now, especially horror games, so a magazine dedicated to that topic appeals to me specifically. The campaign page says this third issue is "mostly finished" which must be the case if they're promising to ship before the month is out.

The Lullaby Weaver (ends May 21 estimated reward date Dec 2025)
Even more material aimed directly at me: The Lullaby Weaver takes inspiration from "World of Horror, Silent Hill, & the works of Junji Ito," three incredibly scary things! The so-called "1-bit" aesthetic also makes everything more frightening in my eyes.

RPM Issue # 6(ends May 29 estimated reward date Jun 2025)
The always-dependable Sandeep Rai returns with a new issue of The Unofficial PlayStation Magazine. Planned features include an interview with Shuhei Yoshida and a look at three of the biggest mascot-driven PS2 action games. Work on this issue is "completely done" and will ship out next month.
