Earlier this year in episode 665 (so close!) we took a long look back at Fatal Fury, a fighting game series that quietly went dark in 1999 until pulling a major comeback in 2025. There's a lot to cover in explaining who made these games and why, so we only managed to cover the initial few years of those legendary wolves.
This week, we're entering round 2 as we talk about what happened to Fatal Fury after SNK's King of Fighters became the company's flagship franchise, how things ended strong with Mark of the Wolves, and what might have happened if a planned 2000 sequel came to pass.
Kevin Bunch refused to relinquish the hosting chair so Diamond Feit, Brian Clark, and Will Cuevas returned in supporting roles. Please note that we recorded this conversation well before City of the Wolves came out and its more controversial elements were announced
Description: We’ve got the old stuff back! Kevin Bunch, Diamond Feit, Will Cuevas, and Brian Clark return to Southtown to cover the rest of the Fatal Fury series.
