If you're under 30, you might not recall how scarce video game coverage on television was. Plenty of shows covered the latest movies and an entire cable channel played music videos but games? No one talked about games outside of commercials.
Despite this lack of programming targeting Nintendo or Sega kids, the world has largely forgotten about Video Power, a hybrid live-action/animated program starring an assortment of digital heroes paired with host segments discussing the latest releases.
Host Bob Mackey dedicates this year's holiday cabin outing to unearthing Video Power from its forgotten tomb and edifying guests Henry GIlbert and Drew Mackie about cool tomatoes and trucks with big feet.
Description: It's that time of the year again, so hang your stockings, haul home a coniferous tree, and pack the required survival gear for another harrowing trip to the Retronauts Holiday Cabin in Parts Unknown. And for this 15th outing, we'll be taking a long, mostly confused look at Video Power: the Captain N also-ran that assembled a team of C-list protagonists for some poorly animated, Acclaim-promoting fun. (Before being completely retooled into a game show the following year.)
