As massive cultural events go, Return of the Jedi is an odd one. It was the third Star Wars film back when we thought there would only ever be three Star Wars films, so naturally it arrived with a lot of hype. But after a few years, Star Wars as a whole quietly faded into the past, and Return of the Jedi specifically got a lot of flack as the weakest of the trilogy. Then the Special Editions came, then the Prequels came, and suddenly we live in a world where there will never ever be another "last" Star Wars film.
I'm delivering the short version, of course: Jeremy, Ben Elgin, Benj Edwards, and Chris Sims (who already covered Episode IV and V) all share their Episode VI memories on this week's podcast, put the film into its proper historical context, and then discuss the contemporary games based on the film. And no matter what happens, George Lucas will never edit Hayden Christensen into this recording—that's our guarantee to you.
Description: Long, long ago, Retronauts East began a trip through the original Star Wars trilogy (and its games). At last, the circle is complete as Jeremy Parish, Benj Edwards, Chris Sims, and Ben Elgin blow this thing and go home with Return of the Jedi.
