Retronauts Episode 431: Retrogaming in Print

Don't even THINK of dog-earing this podcast

For over 15 years now, Retronauts has existed as a podcast, but we're interested in the preservation of video game history in non-audio formats as well. Our own Jeremy Parish has been publishing material for decades now, so who better to discuss the topic of committing gaming's past to the printed page?

Joining Jeremy on this week's episode are two authors who cover two distinct sub-topics within the field of retro video games. Evan Amos discovered an affinity for photographing classic consoles, leading him to compile his work into a grand volume called The Game Console 2.0: A Photographic History from Atari to Xbox. Meanwhile, Richard Moss found that so many people had misconceptions about video games on the Apple Macintosh that he took his knowledge and wrote The Secret History of Mac Gaming.

Description: Jeremy Parish chats with retrogaming book authors Richard Moss (The Secret History of Macintosh Gaming) and Evan Amos (The Game Console 2.0) about the processes, predicaments, and perils of producing print publications about classic gaming topics.
