No one can tell you what our Matrix episode is about....
...you have to experience it for yourself. (OK, OK. It's about the Matrix.)
This week's Retronauts takes us back into the world of influential classic cinema. But, I mean, there aren't a lot of movies that are more fundamentally video game than The Matrix. Not only did they make a few games based on the film, the movie also had a very video game-like logic and setting to it. And boy howdy, did video games rip off The Matrix. If you thought Indiana Jones had it rough, that guy had nothing on poor Neo.
Oh, and there was that weird thing about using the PlayStation 2 to plug into the Matrix. Sony's hype was way over the top back then, I tell you what.
We plug into the podcasting studio this week, but not by sticking electrodes into our spines or whatever. Instead, we do it the old-fashioned way, flapping our jaws in meatspace. Good times.
Hey, look, I made it through an entire post about The Matrix without referencing any memes from the movie! It's a new world record.
