Retronauts Episode 590: Slime Morimori Dragon Quest

You're gonna have beef with a silly little slime? For shame.

At the risk of tooting my own horn, I (Diamond Feit) consider this week's episode a public service. I suspect a lot of people enjoyed Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime on the Nintendo DS, since it is a charming action game starring an adorable little monster. But how many English speakers know that Rocket Slime is but one game out of a trilogy?

This week on the podcast—joined by Jeremy Parish and Alex Fraioli—we shine a spotlight on this sadly unknown series, as two-thirds of these Slime Morimori games were never localized or released outside of Japan. In the case of the third game on 3DS, it's also region-locked, meaning you need a Japanese console to even play it! Tune in to find out if you should take that plunge.

Description: Big Stretch! Diamond Feit, Jeremy Parish, and Alex Fraioli squirm their way through Square Enix's forgotten works to remember the Slime Morimori Dragon Quest trilogy (aka Rocket Slime).
